Body believed to be Jo-Anne Donovan found near the missing woman’s home: RCMP
KAMLOOPS — The body of a woman believed to be a missing Kamloops woman was found near her home on Wednesday (March 22).
In a news release, Cpl. Dave Marshall of the Kamloops RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit (SCU) says an extensive forensic search of 57-year-old Jo-Anne Donovan’s home has been conducted and police will remain there until an autopsy set for March 28 is complete. Kamloops RCMP are not releasing the specific location of where the body was found at this time.
Donovan was last seen near her home in Westsyde on March 13. RCMP are still searching for witnesses who may have seen Donovan or her vehicle at the time. Her son, Brandon, told CFJC Today the woman’s disappearance was out of character.
Police say Donovan was known mostly to frequent the Brocklehurst and North Shore neighbourhoods and she liked to go for walks near McArthur Island Park, Kamloops Airport and Tranquille Farms.
