Kamloops’ Lambert among 50 B.C. candidates sanctioned for failing to file statements with Elections B.C.

VICTORIA — Elections B.C. has released its list of candidates in the 2022 municipal election who will be sanctioned for failing to file financial disclosure statements.

Among the 50 candidates is Kamloops council candidate Francois Lambert, who finished 21st out of 23 entrants, garnering 1,312 votes.

Dean Clifford, who ran for mayor of Clearwater, and Jay Barley, who ran for council in Merritt, were also listed.

The 50 people on the list will be prohibited from seeking office until after the next municipal election in 2026.
