Canada’s Malcolm Johnston looks to follow brother Alistair via MLS SuperDraft
Canadian Malcolm Johnston watched his older brother Alistair Johnston make the move from the U.S. college ranks to the pros. Now it’s his turn.
The 21-year-old midfielder from the University of Maryland will get a better sense of what lies ahead at Wednesday’s MLS SuperDraft.
“The MLS draft is like any draft — it’s pretty unpredictable … It will be a very exciting, anxious time (Wednesday),” he said.
Johnston joins University of New Hampshire defender Moise Bombito, Syracuse forward Levonte Johnson and Florida International University forward Stephen Afrifa as blue-chip Canadian talent available in the three-round draft.
