Drivers without winter tires encouraged to stay home: City of Kamloops

EARLIER: KAMLOOPS — Road conditions in Kamloops are still slick and slippery Friday (Nov. 4) morning.

After snow created chaos in Kamloops and surrounding highways Thursday (Nov. 3) evening, the City is telling drivers that if they don’t have snow tires on their vehicles, they should consider staying home.

“If you do drive, give yourself extra time and leave extra space between yourself and the car in front of you. Our crews are working hard, but it’s slippery out there,” the City states.

CFJC Today has reached out to the City of Kamloops’ Streets and Environmental Services Department and Kamloops Fire Rescue for an update on road conditions.
