The 19th Annual Gur Singh Memorial Tournament raises funds for brain injury survivor
KAMLOOPS — Another charity golf tournament was teeing it up at Bighorn Golf Course in Sun Rivers. The Gur Singh Memorial Golf Tournament in support of the Kamloops Brain Injury Association held its 19th annual event.
In 2004, the late Dr. Gur Singh began the annual tournament to serve as a fundraiser for the association raising $17,000 that year. Fast forward to 2022, and the event has helped raise over 1 million.
“This is our major fundraiser every year and it is invaluable. It is what helps us pay the rent and it is what helps us be able to help brain injury survivors in the Kamloops region,” said Kamloops Brain Injury Association Executive Director Dave Johnson.
