Highway crash on Highway 5 south of Kamloops fatal: RCMP

KAMLOOPS — BC Highway Patrol confirmed that Friday’s (June 17) crash south of Kamloops was fatal.

Cpl. Mike Halskov told CFJC Today a minivan drove into the rear of a disabled semi truck southbound along Highway 5 at Sugarloaf Road.

B.C. Emergency Health Services responded to the scene of the crash with three ground ambulances where one person had been transported to hospital in critical condition. The crashed closed the stretch of Highway 5 for numerous hours.
