Gyldi’s Pizza truck recovered after Wednesday theft

KAMLOOPS — A local food truck has been recovered and will be returned to its owners.

According to Kamloops RCMP, the Gyldi’s Pizza truck was taken at about 9:00 p.m. Wednesday (July 21) from the 300-block of Victoria Street West.

Spokesperson Cst. Crystal Evelyn says RCMP were alerted Friday morning at about 9:00 that the truck was heading westbound toward Kamloops. The caller had read about the stolen truck on social media.

Officers found it at a gas station and arrested one suspect.

The operators posted a photo to social media showing the large red truck at a Petro Canada station with two RCMP vehicles positioned behind it.
