Evacuation order for five properties evacuated due to McKay Creek wildfire

KAMLOOPS — An evacuation order was issued by the Thompson-Nicola Regional District (TNRD) Emergency Operations Centre in Kamloops Wednesday (July 21) evening.

The order was issued to five properties due to the McKay Creek wildfire. It’s threatening structures and residents in the Bonaparte Plateau electoral area.

Properties affected include:

• 9320 Empire Valley Big Bar Rd
• 7633 to 8410 Watson Bar Rd
• 9180 West Pavilion Rd
• any other properties as identified on the attached map
  (Thompson-Nicola Regional District).

If you are in the described area, you must leave immediately. Emergency Support Services will only be provided if your primary residence is one of the properties under evacuation order.
