The 28-property order comes after an evacuation of 13 properties ordered Sunday night (July 18).

Evacuees are asked to register with Emergency Support Services, either in person at the McArthur Island Sport and Event Centre in Kamloops, or online.

There is no lodging available in Kamloops, so those evacuees who cannot stay with friends and family are asked to report to the Salvation Army Building at 1480 Sutherland Avenue in Kelowna.

The White Rock Lake wildfire is estimated at 3,000 hectares as of Monday afternoon. The B.C. Wildfire Service says it is being driven by strong winds and dry conditions.
