Tremont Creek wildfire puts 675 properties on evacuation alert

KAMLOOPS ā€” An evacuation alert was issued by the Thompson-Nicola Regional District (TNRD) Emergency Operations Centre in Kamloops Wednesday (July 14) evening.

The 750-hectare Tremont Creek wildfire near Barnes Lake in Electoral Area ā€œIā€ (Blue Sky Country) poses a threat to the structures and residents for 675 properties.

It includes all properties in Savona, Walhachin, Thompson River Estates, and any other properties located within the area noted on the attached map.

Elsewhere, the 2,033-hectare West of Flat Lake wildfire caused an evacuation alert for 650 properties in the Bonaparte Plateau electoral area.

It includes:

  • 81 to 1400 Green Lake South Rd.
  • 5564 to 5588 Green Lake-Jim Lake FSR

  • 1420 to 1475 Janzen Terr.
  • 3480 to 3700 Little Green Lake Rd.
  • 6820 Lost Valley Rd.
  • 2440 McMahon Rd.
  • 3640 to 6832 North Bonaparte Rd.
  • 1 to 23 Point Rd.
  • 2710 to 6664 Pressy Lake Rd.
  • 6600 to 6680 Rayfield Rd.
  • 2757 to 6525 Shore Crt.
  • 115 to 169 South Crest Rd.
  • 1410 to 1490 Thibert Rd.

Residents will be given as much advance notice as possible prior to evacuation, although they may receive limited notice due to changing conditions.
