Small evacuation alert enacted for Douglas Lake-area wildfire

KAMLOOPS — The Thompson-Nicola Regional District has issued a new evacuation alert in relation to a fire northeast of Douglas Lake.

The evacuation alert covers five properties threatened by the White Rock Lake fire – from 12905 to 14279 Douglas Lake Road.

This map shows the bounds of the evacuation alert.

That fire was discovered Tuesday (July 13) and is now mapped at 300 hectares, according to the BC Wildfire Service.
