Province reports 358 new COVID-19 cases over three days; 13 more cases in Interior Health
VICTORIA — Updating the COVID-19 picture after the weekend, provincial health officials say there are signs British Columbians are flattening the pandemic curve back down.
In a news conference, Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry says there were 358 new cases reported over the weekend, including 13 within Interior Health. Henry says there were 130 new cases on Saturday (Oct. 3), 108 on Sunday and 120 on Monday.
That brings the total of all recorded cases in B.C. to 9,739, spread throughout the province as follows:
- 3,580 — Vancouver Coastal (up by 140)
- 4,980 — Fraser Health (up by 189)
- 220 — Island Health (up by 11)
- 548 — Interior Health (up by 13)
- 322 — Northern Health (up by 4)
- 89 — Reside outside of Canada (up by 1)
