Restricted visitation now allowed in B.C. longterm care facilities
VICTORIA — Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry has announced an easing of restrictions that will be a great relief for anyone with family members in longterm care.
Visitation was completely cut off at the outset of B.C.’s COVID-19 pandemic in B.C.
As of Tuesday (June 30), visitors will once again be allowed in longterm care and assisted living facilities.
There are still strict restrictions on the visits — each resident will only be allowed one designated visitor at first.
