Eight new COVID-19 cases in B.C. Thursday; Interior Health case count increases

VANCOUVER — New numbers reinforce that COVID-19 has not been eradicated from Interior Health. For the second straight day, the case count in the region has increased.

According to new totals released by B.C. Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry, there were eight new COVID-19 cases recorded in the province Thursday (June 18), bringing the provincial total to 2,783.

This is where those cases have been found:

  • 950 (Vancouver Coastal)
  • 1441 (Fraser Health)
  • 130 (Vancouver Island)
  • 197 (Interior Health)
  • 65 (Northern Health)
