TAYLOR SWIFT’S ‘SOON YOU’LL GET BETTER’ GETS BIG SALES BOOST AFTER ‘ONE WORLD’ SPECIAL: After past weekend’s One World: Together at Home special, sales of songs performed on the show experienced a 735% increase, according to Nielsen Music. One of the big winners was Taylor Swift’s heartbreaking song “Soon You’ll Get Better,” a deep cut from her Lover album she originally wrote about her mother’s cancer battle. Billboard reports that after the Saturday telecast, the song sold 1,000 downloads – up from “essentially nothing” on Friday. The other two winners were Kacey Musgraves’ touching ballad, “Rainbow,” which sold nearly 3,000 downloads, and “Carnaval,” by Latin star Maluma, which sold a little over 1,000 downloads. Both songs barely sold anything on Friday.

TROYE SIVAN PERFORMS HIS SONG ‘TAKE YOURSELF HOME’ FROM HOME: Troye Sivan did a live performance of his new song “Take Yourself Home” from his home in Australia. The 24-year-old singer and his bandmates each filmed their portions from their respective homes and the video went live on YouTube on Monday. The song was supposed to be released later this year, but Troye decided to drop it early due to the pandemic. Troye sourced many of the visual elements for “Take Yourself Home” from freelance artists via an Instagram post. Their work can be seen in the lyric video and a trio of t-shirts. The t-shirts are available for pre-order and all proceeds will be donated to WHO COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund and Spotify’s COVID-19 Music Relief project.

NIALL HORAN & LIAM PAYNE TALK QUARANTINE, HAIRCUTS & MORE DURING INSTAGRAM LIVE CHAT: Liam Payne and Niall Horan had a virtual reunion on Instagram Live Monday. The two One Direction musicians caught up with each other during their chat, and opened up about what they’d been doing while in quarantine, and making fun at their fail to have Louis Tomlinson join. “Our 3-way FaceTime went really well,” Liam joked. A shirtless Niall with his guitar added, “I mean, it’s so funny. We can never get anyone together even though we’re all doing nothing.” “Even though I know for a fact Louis’ just sitting home smoking cigarettes and drinking beers. I was doing the same yesterday,” he added, poking fun at Louis.

JENNIFER LOPEZ AND ALEX RODRIGUEZ REPORTEDLY PLANNING ON BUYING THE METS: Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have reportedly hired JP Morgan Chase to bolster their finances in order to bid on the New York Mets. Speculation the engaged couple was interested in becoming team owners first sparked in February. A-Rod has previously revealed that, growing up, he was a fan of the Mets. He also hinted on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon that he was interested in purchasing the team and even joked to Jimmy Fallon, “Maybe you can buy them with me. I need a partner.” The Mets, who haven’t won a World Series since 1986, is currently owned by real estate developer Fred Wilpon. A-Rod and J-Lo’s combined net worth is about $700 million. The Mets were recently in agreement with minority owner Steven Cohen to turn over controlling interest in a deal valued at $2.6 billion; Forbes recently pegged the franchise value a little lower, at $2.2 billion.
