B.C. surpasses 1,000 COVID-19 cases; five new deaths announced
VICTORIA — The provincial health officer has announced 43 new cases of COVID-19 in B.C., bringing the total to 1,013.
Five more people have died of the virus — all of whom were located in the Vancouver Coastal Health or Fraser Health authorities.
There are now 107 positive cases in the Interior Health region.
Provincially, 507 people have recovered from the virus — roughly half of the total diagnosed cases.
