Ellie Goulding in the Driver’s Seat

Ellie Goulding donned a personalized racing suit and took the ABB FIA Formula E Championship BMW i8 safety car for a spin around the track on Saturday afternoon in Marrakesh, Morocco.

“I grew up watching motorsports every weekend, and just experienced Formula E & the track in Marrakesh first hand,” Ellie said. “Getting behind the wheel of the BMW i8 safety car was so exhilarating, all the while being sustainable – it was so fantastic I asked to go around twice. Formula E is now, it is setting the bar high for all other sporting events to follow. This is my second time here & certainly won’t be my last!”

Formula E, which champions sustainability and uses emissions-free cars as the world’s only fully electric street racing series, is poised for its fifth race of season six, which features 13 races in 11 cities, including Paris, New York and London.
