Kamloops Classic swimmers just miss out on medals at Canadian junior championship meet

KAMLOOPS — A pair of local swimmers from the Kamloops Classic Swim Club finished just off the podium at the 2019 Canadian Junior Swimming Championships in Calgary over the weekend.

Fifteen year old Diego Paz placed fourth in the 400 IM, sixth in the 200 IM, and seventh in the 800- and 1,500-metre freestyle events.

Jack Cameron, also 15 years old, finished in fourth position in the 50-metre freestyle. He was also seventh in the 200-metre fly and eighth in the 100-metre fly event.

Haley Rowden placed seventh in the consolation final of the 200-metre breaststroke and 34th in the 100-metre breaststroke.
