MTV Movie & TV Awards Tonight

The 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards are landing tonight (Monday). The ceremony will honor the best entertainment offerings of the year, with fan-favorite actors and pop stars on hand.

Here’s what to know before the party kicks off on MTV June 18^that 9 p.m.

HOSTESS: Tiffany Haddish is the hotly anticipated maestro for the show. She is also doing double duty: the comedian is up for the Golden Popcorn in for categories for her work in Girls Trip: Best Comedic Performance, Scene Stealer, Best Musical Moment and Best Movie.

LEADING THE PACK: Black Panther and Stranger Things lead the pack of nominations with seven each.

PERFORMANCES: No MTV awards show is complete with musical performances. Among the star attractions this time around: Mustard and Nick Jonas will take the stage to debut “Anywhere” and Chloe x Halle will sing a medley “The Kids Are Alright” and “Warrior.”

TRAILBLAZER: This year’s trailblazer is the Emmy Award winner Lena Waithe. She is being recognized for her work for women and members of the LGBTQ community. Previous recipients include Emma Stone and Shailene Woodley.
