Mental disorder…Not criminally responsible in death of mother

VERNON — 21 year old Angelo Monfort of Vernon, who appeared in court today charged with the death of his mother last June, was found not criminally responsible on account of a mental disorder and was referred to the British Columbia Review Board.

Monfort was charged after his mother died of injuries suffered in an apartment at the Strand Lakeside Resort in June of 2017.
