PITBULL, BRITNEY SPEARS, MARC ANTHONY TEAM UP ON NEW MUSIC: Pitbull is teaming up with Britney Spears and Marc Anthony for a new track, he tells KTU 103.5. Pitbull described the upcoming collaboration “volcanic.” “We have a record coming with… I know this is going to sound crazy… we got a record coming with Marc Anthony, Britney Spears and this guy named Pitbull,” he said. Pitbull is opening for Britney on her Piece Of Me Tour this summer. The pair already collaborated, but it never saw the light of day – sort of. Britney was the original pick for Pitbull’s track, “Hey Ma,” but a roadblocks ended up placing Camila Cabello on it instead. Britney’s version leaked eventually.
DAN REYNOLDS THINKS JESUS WOULD’VE BEEN A DEMOCRAT: Dan Reynolds sits down for an interview at the Build Series on Wednesday in New York City. The 30-year-old Imagine Dragons frontman appeared alongside Don Argott, the director of his new documentary Believer, to chat about the film. The doc explores Dan’s mission to see how the Mormon church treats its LGBTQ members, which sends him on an unexpected path for acceptance and change. During the interview, Dan opened up about a recent family dinner in which he was asked his opinion on religion and politics. “They were talking about Jesus, and they’re all Republican, and I said, ‘I’m not very political, but I just want to say I believe, Jesus, if he were alive, he’d be a democrat.”
BRUNO MARS AND RIHANNA VIDEOS SCORE ONE BILLION VIEWS ON YOUTUBE: Bruno Mars and Rihanna have both reached a major YouTube milestone this week. Bruno’s video for “24K Magic” and Rihanna’s video for “Work” featuring Drake have both crossed one billion views. The “24K Magic” video debuted on October 6, 2016, while “Work” hit YouTube on February 22, 2016. Bruno is now tied with Colombian singer Maluma for the second most videos in the Billion Views Clubs. Among his other billion-view clips: “Just the Way You Are” and “That’s What I Like.” Justin Bieber still holds the record for the most videos with a billion views, though. With “Work,” Rihanna is now tied with Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj for women with the most videos with a billion views. They each have four.
