AUSTIN POWERS‘ VERNE TROYER DEAD AT 49: Verne Troyer, who rose to fame as Dr. Evil’s sidekick Mini Me in Austin Powers, has died at the age of 49. Troyer, who was born with achondroplasia dwarfism, had been hospitalized and on life support earlier this month. Troyer reportedly suffered from alcoholism and had checked in and out rehab several times over the years. “He was baptized while surrounded by his family,” his family added in a statement. His costar Mike Myers released a statement about Troyer’s passing: “Verne was the consummate professional and a beacon of positivity for those of us who had the honor of working with him. BEN AFFLECK IS TEAM JIMMY KIMMEL: Dayum! Ben Affleck has officially been recruited to Jimmy Kimmel‘s team in the long-simmering faux-feud between the late night host and Matt Damon. Responding to the claim that Damon, 47, was attempting to replace longtime BFF Affleck, 45, with Chris Hemsworth, Affleck made his loyalty clear on Twitter. “Hey @chrishemsworth, you can have him! I’m Team @JimmyKimmel anyways,” Affleck jokingly wrote Friday. Hemsworth soon jumped into the e-fray. “Sorry mate not my fault! He’s just a big @Marvel fan, not @DCComics. How do you like them apples,” the Thor: Ragnarok star, 34, wrote. “@jimmykimmel the ball is in your court. Choose wisely…” he added. Whose team are you on?
DO THE JACKSONS FEAR FOR PARIS’ LIFE? Paris Jackson‘s family is concerned for her mental and physical welfare, according to Page Six. The family was horrified after she posted an Instagram video of herself walking on the ledge of a skyscraper and losing her balance before slipping into her rumored girlfriend Cara Delevingne‘s arms. “I almost died!” Paris captioned the video which is no longer on the platform. “Everyone saw that video, and even though we all knew that she’s now OK, watching it was so traumatic that nobody wants to show it to either Katherine or Joe,” a relative told Page Six of Paris’ paternal grandparents. Family members are concerned she is headed for a “serious meltdown.”
ABBY LEE MILLER SPEAKS OUT AFTER CANCER REVEAL: Abby Lee Miller has broken her silence after being diagnosed with cancer. The 51-year-old Dance Moms star left prison early for good behavior recently, and soon after underwent emergency spinal surgery for what was believed to be an infection, but turned out to by Non-Hodgkins lymphoma, a type of cancer. “So much gratitude and love for those who listened, those who looked deeper and those who leapt into action,” she wrote on Instagram. “So much more I wish I could say……about how quickly your life can change at the hands of others.
