LANCE BASS EXEC PRODUCING YOUTUBE DOCUMENTARY ABOUT DISGRACED BOY BAND MOGUL LOU PEARLMAN: Disgraced boy band mogul Lou Pearlman, who died in prison in 2016, is the subject of a new YouTube Red documentary executive produced by *NSYNC’s Lance Bass. The film, currently titled The Lou Pearlman Project, tells the story behind the man who launched the careers of *NSYNC, The Backstreet Boys and O-Town before being sent to prison for 25 years for conspiracy, money laundering and other crimes. Members of all three groups sat for in-depth interviews for the documentary, as did the mothers of Justin Timberlake and Lance. While Pearlman eventually went to prison for running a massive Ponzi scheme, there were also allegations of sexual misconduct with the members of the groups he managed. Pearlman denied these claims. The documentary will premiere later this year.
