KAMLOOPS — Next Thursday, May 3rd, is the Western Hockey League Bantam Draft.

15 year old Logan Stankoven from Kamloops is expected to be one of the top picks.

On draft day he will be in Philadelphia, playing with the Pacific Selects in the World Selects Invitational —- a tournament featuring over 30 teams from around the world with some of the top 15 year old players on the planet.

Stankoven put up some incredible numbers with the Yale Hockey Academy in the Canadian Sports School Hockey League this season —- with 57 goals, 33 assists and 90 points in 30 league games.

Prior to going to the Yale Academy this season, Stankoven played with the Kamloops Tier One bantam Junior Blazers in the 2016-17 season.

In the 2017 KIBIHT final he scored four times.

Stankoven’s fourth goal was on an end-to-end rush in double overtime to give the Junior Blazers a 6-5 win and the KIBIHT championship.
