105 die from illicit drugs in June

VICTORIA — The overdose crisis in British Columbia continues unabated.

The BC Coroners Service says there were 105 illicit drug overdose deaths across the province in June.

While that number is down by 18 compared to the same time last year, the coroner says the numbers remain high.

Within the Interior Health Authority, 24 people died from illegal drug ODs in June.
