CHARLIZE THERON SAYS ATOMIC BLONDE 2 IS IN THE WORKS: Charlize Theron is busting out the peroxide and her Burberry trench coat, she spilled on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. Asked how she feels about Chris Hemsworth‘s suggestion that she play James Bond, she replied: “That’s cool, but there’s nothing like that [in the works]. According to the last trailer that dropped, Meryl Streep is going to die at some point during Mamma Mia 2. The latest trailer is more upbeat, but TBD if Streep will live to sing another day. This one features pregnant Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) mulling life lessons from mama Donna (Streep). Rosie (Julie Walters) and Tanya (Christine Baranski) jump in to tell her stories from Donna’s pregnancies. Lily James, Pierce Brosnan, Stellan Skarsgrd, Colin Firth also appear, as does Cher via a helicopter. The movie will land in theaters on July 20th.

13 REASONS WHY TRAILER DROPS: It looks like the tapes were just the beginning, according to the new Season 2 trailer for 13 Reasons Why released by Netflix. “I just felt like this whole thing was gonna be over. But it’s not,” intones Clay (Dylan Minnette) at the beginning as he finds a Polaroid that has the words “Hannah wasn’t the only one” written on the back. This season launches in the aftermath of Hannah’s death as her classmates attempt to heal and recover. 13 Reasons Why is written, created and produced by Brian Yorkey, with executive producers Selena Gomez, Mandy Teefey, Kristel Laiblin, Anonymous Content, Steve Golin and Joy Gorman. Season 2 arrives May 18th.

HBO RESPONDS TO PETA’S REMARKS ABOUT ABUSED ELEPHANTS ON WESTWORLD: On Monday, PETA blasted HBO for using “abused” elephants in the latest episode of Westworld from Have Trunk Will Travel. PETA shared footage of HTWT’s compound showing abused elephants, one of which appeared on the show. In a statement, HBO told Deadline: “All of the animals featured on HBO series are treated with the utmost care and respect for their health, safety and well-being. A certified animal safety representative from American Humane was present at all times during any animal action on the set of Westworld. The AHA has confirmed that the animals were well-treated, and the production received the designation of ‘No Animals Were Harmed.’ We are reviewing the circumstances related to archival training footage which included one of the elephants that appeared in the series. Of course, none of this video was shot during the production and does not in any way reflect practices on our sets.”
