Fatal weekend crash near Enderby

ENDERBY — The RCMP have confirmed that a man was killed in a single vehicle accident north of Enderby early last Saturday morning.

Police say the crash occurred when a Toyota pickup went off Highway 97A, near Old Salmon Arm Road, and hit a power pole just before 1 o’clock in the morning.

The man was the sole occupant of the vehicle. No name or hometown was released.

The collision knocked out power to Enderby for some hours, police report.

An investigation into the crash continues.
