The driver, who was in a white SUV,  drove away in a reckless manner before ramming into the passenger side of a police car.

It’s believed he bought gas from the Heffley Creek Husky just before becoming involved in the pursuit.

The RCMP have since been able to identify the vehicle and the driver and on Nov. 23 the suspect vehicle was recovered near Barriere.

Police say the suspect faces numerous charges under the Criminal Code.
