KAMLOOPS — The store is called ‘Winners,’ but a man who robbed the store yesterday certainly doesn’t fit that description.
Kamloops RCMP say during the noon hour yesterday, store employees noticed the man trying to leave the store with some clothing.
When an employee confronted him, he pulled a knife and took off.
Corporal Jodi Shelkie says employees did the right thing.
“The best thing they can do, if they confront the person, and they take off is to just get a good description of what they look like, and what direction they went, and that is what the employee did in this situation, so we knew exactly who we were looking for, and whereabouts to focus our attention,” said Shelkie.
The man was arrested a short time later, and had a court date scheduled for today.
Shelkie says he is well known to police.
