Lineup for 2026 Music in the Park unveiled with some tweaks to accommodate World Cup matches

Jun 23, 2026 | 3:01 PM

KAMLOOPS — The City of Kamloops has released the schedule for this summer’s Music in the Park concert series at Riverside Park, with a few adjustments to accommodate FIFA men’s World Cup watch parties.

The beloved summer tradition will still kick off on Canada Day with performances by Wild One (mixed rock) and Paisley Groove (groovy rock). It’ll run until the end of August and musical artists will cover a variety of genres including rock, country, folk, pop, and contemporary

While most nights will get underway at 7:00 p.m. at the Rotary Bandshell, six performances between July 1 and July 11 will be adjusted to so FIFA World Cup games can be screened at the Riverside Park band shell.

“As always, each Music in the Park performance promises to deliver a memorable experience for all attendees,” Andrew Smeaton, the City’s Business Operations and Events Supervisor, said. “We are thrilled to bring Music in the Park back for another year, setting the stage for a summer filled with music, connection, and community.”

The annual Midsummer Music Jam will be held on July 22, and the headliner will be announced in the days ahead.

“BCLC is thrilled to be back co-presenting Music in the Park with the City of Kamloops,” added Lara Gerrits, BCLC’s Director of Social Purpose, Partnerships and Engagement. “This iconic, long-standing summer event is a community linchpin that celebrates our city’s vibrant arts and culture community and helps bring people together for shared moments of entertainment, connection, fun and play.”

There will be food trucks at Riverside Park every night in July and August and people will also be allowed to bring their own liquor on most nights as part of the Responsible Liquor Consumption Pilot Program, which has been extended into a second year.

Personal alcohol consumption will not be permitted on July 1 (Canada Day), July 19 (FIFA World Cup final), July 22 (Midsummer Music Jam), July 24 to 26 (Kamloops International Buskers Festival) and August 7 to 9 (Ribfest) as a designated beer garden will be set up at Riverside Park.

All concerts are subject to weather conditions and air quality, and the city cautions the schedule may change without notice. Schedules and more information can be found here.
