Police warn about excessive speeding in wet weather
KAMLOOPS — RCMP say just because snow and ice is no longer a factor on our highways, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t drive to conditions.
Corporal Jodi Shelkie says a vehicle was pulled over Wednesday afternoon on Highway 5 just south of Rayleigh.
The officer had clocked the car at 157 kilometres per hour in a 100 zone, and it was raining at the time, making the road wet and slippery.
Shelkie says drivers shouldn’t get cocky.
