Kamloops Storm have new head coach
KAMLOOPS — The Kamloops Storm are pleased to announce new staffing for the coming season.
Matt Kolle will be more involved this season and will take over many of the General Manager duties of the team. Matt has a wealth of hockey knowledge and is a long time Kamloops resident having successfully established the Ice Pirates program in Kamloops before amalgamating the program with Kamloops Minor Hockey a few years ago.
“With the changes is also a change in Head Coach. After 8 seasons with the Storm Ed Patterson has decided not to return. Ed had a very successful tenure in the Junior B ranks but feels it is time for a change.
The new head coach this year will be former Storm player Jassi Sangha. Jassi played two seasons for the Storm from 2006 to 2008 amassing 82 goals and 114 assists in 131 games. Sangha also played 3 seasons for the TRU University Wolfpack
where he was an all-star each year, and most recently played 6 seasons for the Williams Lake Senior mens hockey team that won 2 Coy Cup Championships.
