One confirmed dead in Trans-Canada Highway crash west of Chase

CHASE — Update: According to Drive BC, the highway has opened to single-lane alternating traffic. 

Earlier: Police have confirmed at least one person was killed this morning in a two-vehicle crash just west of Chase on the Trans-Canada Highway.

The crash closed the highway in both directions. No word yet on when it will reopen.

The identity of the deceased has not been released.

Police are expected to release more details shortly.
