Lulay overcoming another injury at training camp, feels he has “good football” left
KAMLOOPS — Travis Lulay is the epitome of the old saying it’s not whether you get knocked down, it’s whether you get back up. He’s suffered numerous career-threatening injuries, but he keeps getting back up.
“It’s part of the deal, right. What I can’t control is whether my body holds up on game day,” said Lulay. “What I can control is how I respond to it, and my attitude about it and my work ethic towards improving.”
Lulay was one of the feel good stories of 2017, leading the Lions at quarterback after Jonathon Jennings struggled. But then came Sept. 8, a home game against Montreal when he tore his ACL. While many players may have retired, not Travis Lulay. Lulay says he loves the game too much to shut it down.
