Vernon gas station runs out of fuel

VERNON — It hasn’t happened here yet as far as we know, but a Vernon station ran out of gas to sell its customers — and an industry analyst says it could happen to more stations.
 
The Petro Can  had to put up the ‘Out of Gas’ sign Wednesday morning, with no updates provided by the company.
 
Dan McTeague from gasbuddy.com predicted some  problems in Western Canada, due to shrinking supply.
 
“It relates directly to the Edmonton Petro Canada Refinery in Edmonton which has been down longer than expected, creating a real run on supplies.” says McTeague.
 
Suncor is a supplier of gas to Petro-Can outlets.
 
They have not returned our request for comment.
