Coquihalla reopens to single lane southbound after collision

HOPE — The latest crash to close the southbound lanes of the Coquihalla Highway involves a transport truck.
The big rig crashed overnight on Highway 5 about 15 kilometres north of Hope and the incident caused a fuel spill.
Drive B-C says a single lane of traffic is now getting past the crash but significant delays are likely because crews are still trying to recover the truck and clean up the site.
Drivers can avoid the area by detouring via Highway 8 to Highway 1 from Merritt to Hope, or by taking highway 1 from Kamloops south. (The Canadian Press, News1130)
