Merritt thieves make off with electronics, emergency response vehicle

MERRITT, B.C. — If you see a bright red Chevrolet Silverado Emergency Services vehicle bearing BC licence plate APL 197 in the Merritt area, call police.

Merritt RCMP Staff Sgt. Lorne Wood says it’s one of two vehicles stolen from a residence in Merritt, the other being a grey 2003 GMC Sierra pickup with BC licence plate 3457JF.

He says the homeowner awoke yesterday (Sept. 11) to find that the culprits had also stolen televisions, stereos, an iPad, laptop and other electronics.
