Emily Blunt, Benicio Del Toro, Josh Brolin Return For ‘Sicario 3’

The long-awaited third installment of the Sicario franchise is moving forward, with Emily Blunt, Benicio Del Toro, and Josh Brolin all confirmed to return. Del Toro and Brolin reprise their roles as Alejandro Gillick and Matt Graver, while Blunt returns as agent Kate Macer from the 2015 original. Padraic McKinley will direct from a script by Steven Knight. The project, delayed by the 2023 writers strike, is expected to serve as a trilogy finale for the world created by screenwriter Taylor Sheridan. Producer Molly Smith said in 2023: “Taylor always envisioned it as a trilogy, so we have to close it out right.” No storyline details have been announced.
