‘Widow’s Bay’ Dominates The 2026 Emmy Awards With 14 Wins

Apple TV’s horror comedy Widow’s Bay claimed 14 Emmy Awards from 19 nominations, topping all shows at the 2026 ceremony. Its wins included best comedy series, lead comedy actor for Matthew Rhys, who also won lead actor in a limited series for Netflix’s The Beast In Me. Combined with his 2018 drama win for The Americans, Rhys now holds all three lead acting Emmy categories — a first for any male performer. Jean Smart also made history, becoming the first woman to win an Emmy for every season of a show, with her fifth lead comedy actress award for Hacks. The Pitt earned seven awards, including best drama series and lead drama actor for Noah Wyle for the second consecutive year. Apple’s Pluribus followed with six wins, including lead actress for Rhea Seehorn. DTF St. Louis led limited series with seven wins.

Reba McEntire performed a tribute to Dolly Parton, Noah Kahan sang ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water’ for the ‘In Memoriam’ segment and a wheelchair-bound Michael J. Fox accepted the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award. Taylor Swift appeared in a pretaped Law & Order SVU parody featuring host Mariska Hargitay, but skipped the ceremony to attend the Kansas City Chiefs’ season opener alongside Tom Cruise.
