City of Kamloops accepting applications for vote-by-mail packages
KAMLOOPS — The City of Kamloops is now accepting applications from people who want to vote by mail in next month’s municipal election.
In a statement, Chief Election Officer Alisha Beday says eligible residents and non-resident property electors are able to request a ballot until Oct. 14. Electors who want their ballot mailed out have to apply by Oct. 1, adding ballots will have to picked up at City Hall if applications are made after that date.
“We strongly encourage anyone who wants to vote by mail in this year’s election to submit their applications as early as possible,” Beday said. “It’s especially important to start the process early if a voter plans to both receive and submit their ballot package by regular mail.
