Month-long boil water notice lifted for Scotch Creek

SCOTCH CREEK, B.C. — After more than a month of boiling their water, residents in Scotch Creek can drink from their taps with confidence once again. 

The Columbia-Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) rescinded its boil water notice for Scotch Creek Tuesday (Sept. 1). The boil water notice was issued on July 24 after residents in the North Shuswap community were on a water quality advisory since July 8. 

The CSRD says testing confirms the water from the Scotch Creek Water System is now safe to consume directly from the tap.
