Batchelor Heights police presence due to executed search warrant; update expected Wednesday

KAMLOOPS — A notable police presence in Batchelor Heights Tuesday (Sept. 1) afternoon was the result of a search warrant being executed.
Speaking to CFJC Today early Wednesday morning, Kamloops RCMP S/Sgt. Chris Kienzle says details are scarce as the investigation is in progress, although there is no risk to the public.
“It was a search warrant as a result of police action,” Kienzle says. “It was all controlled; a planned event.”
A news release from Kamloops RCMP is expected later Wednesday morning.
