Aircraft helping to douse fire in Savona

KAMLOOPS — A witness is reporting a fire in Savona near the railway tracks that broke out Wednesday (August 12) afternoon.

According to reports, the fire is not spreading, but a bird dog aircraft is enroute.

No air tankers have been dispatched to the blaze yet.

The fire, on the west end of Kamloops Lake, has not yet appeared on the BC Wildfire Service map.
