TNRD downgrades evacuation order for Loon Lake and 20 Mile areas
CLINTON, B.C. — Some hundreds of residents who were forced to evacuate due to the massive Pear Lake wildfire near the Village of Clinton are allowed to return home.
Effective 9:00 a.m. Tuesday (Aug. 11), the Thompson-Nicola Regional District (TNRD) downgraded an evacuation order for nearly 365 properties in the Loon Lake and 20 Mile areas. Those residents within Electoral Area “E” (Bonaparte Plateau) are now on evacuation alert.
