‘Recovery is going to be different for everybody’: At least 120 TNRD properties suffer structure loss in Pear Lake fire
CLINTON, B.C. — The scale of destruction caused by the Pear Lake Fire is becoming clearer with each passing day as crews complete rapid damage assessment work as conditions allow.
The Thompson-Nicola Regional District (TNRD) said there are about 120 properties that have suffered some sort of structure loss within its jurisdiction.
“And that can vary from somebody’s primary home to outbuildings on the property or a mix,” TNRD spokesperson Colton Davies said. “In a lot of cases, there are multiple structures lost on the same property.”
