Boston Bar-area residents return home as regional district rescinds evacuation order

BOSTON BAR, B.C. — Nearly three weeks after a raging wildfire forced them to flee their homes, residents of Boston Bar are free to return.

The Fraser Valley Regional District (FVRD) rescinded a series of evacuation orders during the noon hour Wednesday (Aug. 5), including the following communities:

• North Bend and Canyon Alpine
• Fishblue Lake Area
• Nahatlatch and North Boothroyd Area
• Boston Bar
• Scuzzy Creek south of Boston Bar
