Smoke may shut down Music in the Park, World Cup watch parties, Brock Pool: City of Kamloops
KAMLOOPS — The City of Kamloops says it will review scheduled outdoor events on a day-to-day basis to determine if they should still proceed amid thick smoke lingering in the air.
In a news release issued Wednesday afternoon (July 8), the city says it will make decisions based on the guidance of air quality and health experts.
Decisions on the potential cancellation of Music in the Park, which is scheduled to take place each night at the Riverside Park bandshell during the summer, will be communicated by about 4:00 p.m. on smoky days.
