Crews on Tranquille Road sewer main project to work earlier hours amid high temperatures
KAMLOOPS — Residents living along a stretch of Tranquille Road in Brocklehurst may get earlier wakeup calls than usual during the summer heat.
Due to high temperatures in the forecast and worker safety, the City of Kamloops says crews working on the Tranquille Road Sanitary Main and Road Enhancement Project will work regular hours from 4:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. until further notice.
In a post to social media Tuesday (July 7), the city says a noise variance permit was approved.
The temporary amended schedule comes as crews are in the third and final phase of the Tranquille Road Sanitary Main and Road Enhancement Project. The third phase is expected to wrap up in late 2026, depending on weather conditions.
