Blazers Hurlbert named to CHL Third All-Star Team, All-Rookie Team
KAMLOOPS — Kamloops Blazers forward J.P. Hurlbert’s efforts during the 2025-26 Western Hockey League (WHL) season has earned him a pair of accolades from the Canadian Hockey League (CHL).
On Wednesday (June 24) morning, the 18-year-old Hurlbert was named to both the CHL’s Third All-Star Team as well as the CHL’s All-Rookie Team.
Hurlbert, the WHL’s rookie of the year, led all WHL rookies with 42 goals and 97 points, and finished fourth in the overall scoring race. He also tied for first among all CHL rookies with Ontario Hockey League (OHL) rookie of the year, Nikita Klepov of the Saginaw Spirit (37 goals and 60 assists).
