KAMLOOPS — A Kamloops resident has a pool party for her friends on the agenda – although likely not a pool filled with coins like Scrooge McDuck – after winning $100,000 off a scratch ticket.

According to BC Lottery Corporation (BCLC), Jessica D. checked her $5 777 Scratch & Win ticket on the Crown corporation’s app and screamed when she saw the six-figure prize confirmation.

“I was yelling throughout the house and the kids thought something was wrong, until I told them what happened. Then we were all yelling,” Jessica D. says. “Disbelief is where I’m at. It almost feels like it’s not real.”

Jessica D. also plans to share her winnings with her children, then save the remainder.
